Two dozen from Nigeria Female Students Released More Than Seven Days After Abduction

A total of twenty-four Nigerian-born girls who were abducted from their boarding school eight days prior have been released, national leadership stated.

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu praised law enforcement for their "immediate reaction" post-occurrence - while specific details surrounding their freedom had not been clarified.

West Africa's dominant power has suffered multiple incidents of captures over the past few years - with more than numerous students captured at a Catholic school last Friday remaining unaccounted for.

In a statement, a special adviser to the president confirmed that all the girls captured at the school located in the area had been accounted for, mentioning that the incident caused imitation captures in two other Nigerian states.

The president said that extra staff are being positioned in sensitive locations to prevent additional occurrences related to captures".

Via additional communication on X, government leadership commented: "Aerial forces will continue continuous surveillance across distant regions, synchronising operations with ground units to properly detect, isolate, disrupt, and eliminate all hostile elements."

Exceeding 1,500 children got captured from Nigerian schools in recent years, back when two hundred seventy-six students were abducted during the infamous large-scale kidnapping.

Recently, at least 300 children and staff got captured at an educational institution, religious educational establishment, situated in Niger state.

Several dozen people taken from educational facility managed to get away based on information from faith-based groups - yet approximately 250 remain unaccounted for.

The main church official across the territory has mentioned that Nigeria's government is undertaking "insufficient measures" to recover those still missing.

This kidnapping at the institution marked the third instance affecting the nation over recent days, compelling President Bola Tinubu to postpone travel plans global meeting organized within the African country days ago to manage the emergency.

UN education envoy the diplomat urged the international community to "do our utmost" to assist initiatives to return captured students.

The representative, ex-British leader, commented: "We also have responsibility to guarantee that learning facilities remain secure environments for studying, instead of locations in which students could be removed from educational settings through unlawful means."
