Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt able to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can now articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "any day without joy".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate issued a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a record listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

In the wake of the tragedy, public personalities offered divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out recently. Speaking on his program, Rogan labeled the statements as "disappointing" and implied they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an associate could have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
