The families of teens lost after a tragic blaze at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are confronting an excruciating period of uncertainty for answers and pleading for any details about their family members via social media.

The fire engulfed the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified images depict the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take considerable time to formally name the fatalities of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of 40 people and wounded another 119. Authorities said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to locate the other six.

In the meantime, families and friends have been using the internet to appeal for information about their friends who were at the bar that night.

Appeals for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are still unconfirmed, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The resident of a town near the city, informed a publication that she had gone back to Lausanne to see if he was in the medical facility, while his father did the same in Bern, but was unsuccessful.

"It feels like a terrible dream, a horror. The options are finding my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in a serious state. Words cannot describe it," she stated.

She continued that some of his friends had been found with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they went through hell."

The Italy's foreign ministry has confirmed that six of its young people are still unaccounted for.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage junior golfer, originally from Italy but now living in Dubai.

The national sporting body has stated that he is no longer with us, without mentioning the tragedy, paying tribute to a "young athlete who embodied dedication and true sportsmanship."

His parent, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An representative has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is still pending.

Additional Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is likewise unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with a group and found himself at the bar.
